Taylor began dancing in Marion, Ohio at the age of 2. After moving to Dayton, Ohio she danced with the Dayton Ballet School and danced with the Dayton Ballet School Ensemble. After discovering theatre in high school she expanded her dance scope out past the classical ballet she was studying. She attended Ball State University where she graduated with a degree in Theatre.
At Ball State she continued her dance education as well as starting to coreograph. After college, she moved to Chicago where she trained in improvisation as well as dancing with Intelligent Dance Theatre. While in Chicago she was cast by Improv Asylum and moved to Boston. While performing 7 shows a week she also choreographed for comedy.
After 3 years performing in Boston she moved to Los Angeles. While performing improv, working in film and Theatre, she also began her career as a dance teacher at Creation Station Dance Studio. She taught ages 18months to 14 years and fell in love with teaching. She loved sharing her love of dance and music with children and finds nothing better than watching a child get lost in the music and movement! She was the Director at Creation Station before moving to New York City to continue her adventures as a performer and dance teacher.
While in NY she also became a registered yoga teacher and teaches yoga to children ages 1 and up. Since moving to Sacramento, she has taught Theatre in schools with Sacramento Theatre Company as well as performing with theatres around town.
She also became a mom and is so excited to be a part of Fancy Feet where she gets to do the best job there is!
