Kristen started dancing at the age of three and never stopped. Growing up in Southern California, she started competing at local studios at a very young age. She instantly fell in love with competing and performing for people. When she began winning overall awards and high point titles her parents knew they had to further her training. Kristen went on to train at Just Plain Dancin under the instruction of Terry and Mandy Schulke until she graduated. She was also on her high school dance team and was Captain her last two years. After high school, she competed with Orange Coast College Dance Team where the team was ranked number one in the nation at UDA Nationals in Florida.
Since she was young, Kristen has always been recognized by other teams, audience members, and teachers for her passion she brings when she performs. She’s even been singled out at competitions and given special awards because of her performance. In 2009, she was named Magical Performer of the Weekend at LA Dance Magic Convention and was selected out of over 100 dancers.
Recently, Kristen spent the last seven years performing for the Disneyland Resort in the Entertainment Department. She has also taught and choreographed award-winning dances for studios and schools across Southern California. She also has spent a lot of time working with children and adults with special needs and plans on going back to school to become a Special Education teacher. When she isn’t dancing, Kristen spends a lot of her time outside, going on hikes with her new puppy Stella, and doing yoga. She is so excited to join the Fancy Feet family and cannot wait to share her love for dance with everyone..
