Ms Dana started her formal training in the Bay Area dancing at the same studio and in the same performing company as Nick Lazzarini (winner of the first season of "So You Think You Can Dance" on FOX). She has trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical/contemporary, tap and hip-hop. Winning high awards at dance competitions, Dana also performed in professional performances for places such as Great America and the 49ers. During this time she also performed in the ballet Procession of Angels by Daniel Simmons, Royal Academy of Dance graduate, who worked with George Balanchine. In addition, she danced in musical theatre shows in the bay area including the West Coast premiere of Footloose. While studying media arts and dance at Chico state, she was on the college's dance team and danced for the companies Keeping Dance Alive and Axis Dance Dreamer.
Miss Dana has been teaching and choreographing since 2004. In addition to her students and choreography winning high awards at competitions, she has taught and choreographed at many private studios, is the resident dance director at an elementary school, has worked with Disneyland's Magical Music Days dance parades, has taught dance camps throughout Sacramento as well as for the Girl scouts and, just recently was asked to be a guest at a panel discussion honoring women who work in the arts.
